Main duties of the job

George's, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals and Health Group (GESH) has become a People Promises Exemplar site, sponsored by NHS England, to continue to bring to life the People Promise at our Trust. The People Promise sets out what matters to our NHS people and what will most improve their working experience. We are seeking a People Promise Retention Manager, who will be responsible for advocating and promoting the People Promise commitment to ensure our people thrive to be the best they can be.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, self-motivated individual to be lead in the delivery of a wide range of people focused interventions in order to achieve improved outcomes for both staff satisfaction and retention. Embedded within our People Directorate and working closely with the ICS Retention Lead & NHS England National Retention Programme, this role will have a critical part to play in the embedding and evaluation of a suite of interventions reflecting the People Promise and based on the needs of local staff groups.

Essential

  • Degree and Masters Level Education or equivalent experience

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • oExperience of working in Organisational Development, Workforce, Staff Experience/Engagement, Retention or equivalent
  • oKnowledge and experience of leading large-scale programmes of work, having worked strategically at an organisation or ICS level

Desirable

  • oComprehensive experience of project principles techniques and tools such as Prince 2 and Managing Successful Projects
