Job summary
The ICT Training Team provide training on a number of clinical and non-clinical systems across multiple sites within St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking for a suitably experienced ICT Trainer to join our team as a Senior Trainer.
As a Senior ICT trainer, you will be a highly motivated person to help support High-quality training and training media. You will have the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels. If you have experience in the production of e-learning, this would also be an advantage. The successful candidate will be comfortable working on his or her own initiative but will also be a good team player. You will also have good planning and organisational skills ensuring training meets the needs of the departments and organisation. As part of the ICT training team you would be creating relevant in-house training programs and resources for staff Selecting the most appropriate training methods and activities, performing needs assessments to identify knowledge gaps and areas in need of improvement, and providing vital information about training sessions and informing staff about available training Liaising with management and service to create training plans and bespoke training as required through the Learning Needs Assessment.
Main duties of the job
- Work with the ICT Head of Training and other members of the team to provide high quality ICT training service, including scheduling, and maintaining an ongoing training plan to support the effective delivery of ICT Training
- Act as a role model in delivering training and take responsibility for the induction of new ICT trainers to the team
- Work with managers and colleagues to establish appropriate training interventions to support an improvement for trust targets / indicators.
- Develop training courses, lesson plans, trainer notes, lesson exercises, guides and e-learning as required to support the delivery of ICT Training
- Ensure processes are in place for ICT trainers to check training rooms, smartcards, and equipment prior to delivering training and for dealing with any deficiencies found.
- Work as part of the team that provides a high-quality ICT training service for all areas within the trust, interpreting and analysing Training Needs Analysis and course feedback
- Manage and supervise staff as allocated, either as part of specific project work or on an ongoing basis, including timekeeping, absence management and review of performance etc
- Work with colleagues in the operational ICT Team and ICT Projects Team to co-ordinate the delivery of new ICT systems
- To work with clinical staff during the development of new training courses to ensure that the process mapped information is accurate and the content relevant.
