Job summary
To provide efficient and high quality administrative support to consultants and their teams.
To work in close co-operation with staff and other health professionals to ensure a first class service.
To be an active and supportive member of the department's administrative and clerical team.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for two enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individuals to join our ENT Administration team - one on a fixed term contract for one year and the other as permanent.
The ideal candidates will have excellent organisational skills, a patient-focused approach, be a good team player capable of working with different staff groups and be able to work on their own initiative.The person best suited to this position is someone with the ability to work in a team, has excellent interpersonal skills and organizational skills and who is also flexible, proactive and who meets challenges and who is flexible and meets challenges with enthusiasm.
A good standard of verbal and written English, numeracy and attention to detail is also expected.
You will be working as part of a well established ENT team providing administrative support to the running of the service.
ENT is a very busy and large service both clinical and non-clinical.
The ENT department provides an outpatient, inpatient and day case service for patients with ENT for a variety of both general and specialist ENT conditions.
The department provides specialist care in Head & Neck Cancer, Paediatrics, Otology, Voice/Botox, Rhinology and Emergency clinics and is the regional tertiary centre for ENT.
