We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic registered Children's Nurse to join our Children's Community Nursing Team (CCNT). As a Children's Community Nurse (CCN), you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality nursing care to children in their home environments. Main duties of the job
Collaboration with healthcare professionals and making referrals as necessary to provide optimal care for children and will be a key aspect of your role. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of nursing policies and strategies that enable effective home nursing for children.
Delivering exceptional nursing care within established standards will be essential, as you maintain professionalism and stay updated on best practices. Empowering and educating parents in nursing procedures will be an integral part of your role, ensuring they feel confident and knowledgeable in caring for their child.
As part of the CCNT, our focus is on providing specialised care to a diverse range of children in the community, including those with oncology and neuro-disability needs. Our responsibilities encompass administering various intravenous treatments, such as antibiotics and chemotherapy, and delivering medications through alternative routes, all within the comfort of their own homes. We also play a critical role in facilitating the discharge process from hospital wards, and actively working to prevent unnecessary admissions through our acute routes. Moreover, we carry out an extensive range of treatments and interventions within the community, providing comprehensive care and unwavering support to the children.

Professional:
- To maintain a professional attitude and work in accordance with the NMC Code of Conduct at all times acting as a good role model.
