Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated pharmacist to join our antimicrobial and infectious diseases team at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking for an experienced pharmacist with excellent communication and leadership skills to support the integrated services including antimicrobial stewardship ward rounds, antifungal stewardship ward rounds, , infection control, MDR TB, OPAT and HIV services.
The successful candidate will be working with the team lead to provide strategic support on the antimicrobial stewardship agenda and supporting the HIV adherence clinic. This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their clinical expertise and leadership skills.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced pharmacist to join our antimicrobial and infectious diseases team. You will be reporting directly to the team lead, antimicrobial and infectious diseases.
The role will involve working closely with microbiology, infectious diseases team, OPAT team and infection control. You will be supporting the HIV clinics, antimicrobial teaching, the cost-effective use of antimicrobials, to reduce antimicrobial resistance, formulary, CQUIN activities, research, audits, ward rounds and TB services.
