We have full time opportunities for Registered Nurses to join us in the Acute Medical Division & Senior Health on the following wards:

Main duties of the job

Rodney Smith - 28 bed acute medical ward specialising in diabetes & endocrine disorders. We nurse patients when surgical intervention is required so you will gain some exposure to pre and post-surgical care. We also take step down patients from ITU.

McEntee - an 18 bedded purpose-built medical diseases unit that specialises in the care of patients with transmissible diseases including the management of patients with HIV/AIDS & TB. You will gain experience in caring for patients with complex needs who can be acutely unwell.

Cavell - 28 bedded short stay AMU providing care for patients with a variety of acute medical conditions.

Heberden is a newly refurbished 24 bedded Senior Health Ward, specialising in caring for patients with Dementia, Delirium, Palliative care needs and acute medical conditions. We are well known for our commitment to delivering and improving excellent quality care to older people.

Dalby is a 22 bedded newly refurbished ward specialising in older patients requiring acute medical admission. We have experience in caring for patients with Dementia, Delirium.

Mary Seacole is a 42 bedded ward specialising in Senior Health / Rehabilitation. It's based at Queen Mary's Hospital in Roehampton - a newly built community hospital offering rehabilitation services.

Amyand is a 32 bedded acute short stay medical ward. Working very close to the main Acute Medical Unit (AMU). Renovated in July 2023.This is a fast pace environment covering a variety of medical conditions.

Other services treat patients from all over the country, such as family HIV care and bone marrow transplantation for non-cancer diseases. The trust also provides a nationwide state-of-the-art endoscopy training centre.
