Permanent- Part time

Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse for Children Ambulatory Unit - Blue Sky

We are looking for an experienced children's nurse who has the appropriate skills and knowledge help manage our small but busy Childrens Ambulatory Unit. The successfully candidate will be expected to deliver expert nursing care, advice and support children families and junior staff while offering support to the units Band 7 ward manager. The post holder will work together with the ambulatory multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care to the children and families. The role will involve coordinating and supporting care and treatments to children with a wide variety of complaints referred to the hospital through many routes i.e. GP, community services and A&E. The post will require an individual who is confident and sufficiently experienced to work with a degree of clinical independence while helping managing a team of skilled nurses and liaising with unit consultants.
