Job summary

You will be part of a specialist team and enjoy a post with autonomy and responsibility. Our 24 /7 thrombectomy service is now an established service for the region.
This post is for a Radiographer based in the Neuroradiology department who will undertake CT, digital angiography, both diagnostic and interventional, MRI at 1.5.T and 3T, plain x-rays and theatre radiography. The department is filmless, using a hospital -wide PACS system.
This post does involve an On-call commitment and an extended weekday is worked in MRI and Angio plus weekends.
For those that can demonstrate sound technical skills, maturity, confidence, initiative and a keen desire to specialise, our Neuroradiology department provides an outstanding opportunity.
You will receive excellent specialised training in all the above modalities and all the support you need to progress and become a valued member of the department. Informal visits to the department to meet members of the Radiology team are encouraged.

Role of the Department: To provide an excellent and efficient Neuroradiology service to the Neurosciences Directorate, St George's Healthcare NHS Trust and tertiary referrers.
