Job summary

This is a rare opportunity to become a Nurse Consultant across a busy Adult Critical Care Directorate (ACCD) in one of the four major trauma centres in London. The Critical Care Directorate comprises of 66 beds with separate General, Neuro and Cardiothoracic ICU's. The Cardiothoracic and Neuro Units are specialist tertiary referral centres that serve a population of around 3 million, covering a wide geographical area including South West London and the surrounding areas of Surrey and Sussex.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an exceptional, very experienced leader and expert advanced nurse practitioner to be a Nurse Consultant in Critical Care and join our committed and dedicated team of nurses and clinicians. You will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team and responsible for the delivery of clinical and professional standards.

You will be dynamic, motivated and have a passion for excellence in patient care and lead on nursing excellence, care delivery and improving the patient experience, clinical outcomes, effectiveness and efficiency. You will be required to have skills in leadership, quality and governance and be able to provide professional leadership as well as inspire, influence and motivate others.
