Locum Consultant Radiologist (Part-Time)
We are looking for 2 Locum Consultant Radiologists to join a friendly and cohesive team of radiologists with diverse expertise in a busy department and a strong record in teaching and training. The applicant would be expected to join the existing radiologists in providing a comprehensive cross-sectional and diagnostic radiology service for a fixed term of 6 months to address department shortages with potential to extend depending on service needs. The post-holders will help support the running of service at our community diagnostic hub at Queen Mary's Hospital, Roehampton and in our main department at St George's Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicants will be expected, in collaboration with the other radiologists in the department, to oversee and ensure the provision of high quality clinical services within the Radiology Department. This would consist of providing a comprehensive diagnostic radiology service. The post-holder will contribute to general outpatient reporting in the department, which includes CT, ultrasound, plain films and MRI. The post-holder(s) will help cover service gaps from recent retirements.

- Medical Degree
- Full registration with GMC
- CCT in radiology (or within 6 months at time of interview)
Experience
Essential
- Reporting A&E, GP, inpatient and out- patient plain radiograph examinations
- Reporting of MRI and CT examinations including general CT and trauma
- Performing and reporting of general ultrasounds examinations
- Ability to take full and independent clinical responsibility
Desirable
- Experience in gynaecology, paediatric or oncology imaging
- Experience of teaching undergraduates, postgraduates and trainee specialists
Skills
Essential
- Basic biopsy and drainage procedures
- Able to evaluate own radiological practice
