Job summary

Applications are invited for a Locum Consultant Radiologist to join a friendly and cohesive team of radiologists with diverse expertise in a busy department and a strong record in teaching and training. The applicant would be expected to join the existing radiologists in providing a comprehensive cross-sectional and diagnostic radiology service for an initial 12 months and review. The post-holder will help support the running of service at our community diagnostic hub at Queen Mary's Hospital, Roehampton and in our main department at St George's Hospital.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will be expected, in collaboration with the other radiologists in the department, to oversee and ensure the provision of high-quality clinical services within the Radiology Department. This would consist of providing a comprehensive diagnostic radiology service. The post-holder will contribute to general outpatient reporting in the department, which includes CT, ultrasound, plain films and MRI.

  • Reporting of MRI and CT examinations including general CT
  • Performing and reporting of general ultrasounds examinations
  • Ability to take full and independent clinical responsibility

Desirable

  • Experience of teaching undergraduates, postgraduates and trainee specialists
  • Experience in Lymphoma MDT

  • Basic biopsy and drainage procedures
  • Able to evaluate own radiological practice
  • Independent in general fluoroscopy (GI/GU)
