Full Time -37.50 hours per week
Croydon Health Services provides integrated NHS services to care for people at home, in schools, and health clinics across the borough as well as at Croydon University Hospital and Purley War Memorial Hospital, we are now looking to recruit a Soft Services and Patient Environment Manager into our Estates and Facilities Team
The post holder will be professionally accountable for the Trust's Support Services (listed below) and will lead the operational direction of Facility Services.

- Laundry & Linen
- Portering Services
- Postal Services
- Uniforms
- Waste Management Managing
In- house services
- Monitoring officer(s)
- Post room team.
This post will also involve ad hoc working at weekends on a rota basis if required and on call.
The role will be responsible for the following: A budget of approximately £10m per annum.
The post holder will lead a programme of Patient Environment inspections and take appropriate actions to ensure maximum scores are attained in the National Patient Safety Agency, Patient Lead Assessment of the Care Environment (PLACE) process and National Standards of Cleanliness.

Main duties of the job
- Conduct and communicate Patient Environment audits trust-wide, involving Matrons, patients, and FM service teams.
- Provide monthly management information for balanced scorecards in operational services.
- Engage in PEAT standards to achieve high inspection scores, address issues, and apply lessons learned.
- Manage pest control, post, laundry, linen, waste management, grounds, gardens, and serve as travel transport and access lead.
- Ensure robust linen provision and maintain adequate stock levels for quality patient care.
- Take responsibility for linen staff and uniform distribution.
- Manage and comply with statutory instruments and NHS guidance for waste management.
