Job summary

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work with a small team of midwives, passionate about providing continuity of care to women and their families in the comfort of their homes?

We are searching for skilled midwives who are motivated to provide individualised woman-centered care, promote home birth and advocate for women's choices.

Our midwives are dedicated to delivering low-risk home birth care, offering choice, and improving clinical outcomes, whilst building therapeutic professional relationships to provide a better birth experience.

The Crocus Team has been providing an exceptional home birth service to the women of Croydon over the past decade, and is proud to have been home to the RCM/Emma's Diary Midwife of the Year for London in 2019, as well as being nominated for RCM Team of the Year 2018.

We have an increasing number of women wishing to have their babies at home and we are driven to continue providing an exceptional home birth service to our women of Croydon.

Main duties of the job

Crocus Team Home Birth Midwife

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Band 6 midwives to join an innovative, newly remodeled home birth service, with some on-call work, which provides a good work-life balance.

As part of our Maternity Transformation work with Continuity of Carer, we have remodeled our home birth service provision to enable us to expand our caseload and aim to improve sustainability and job satisfaction for midwives.

We are looking for highly motivated, clinically experienced and forward thinking midwives, with a passion for normal birth and continuity of care.

You will join a supportive and experienced team taking lead in antenatal and postnatal care as a named midwife for your own caseload of women, and provide rostered intrapartum care for home birth and 'Domino scheme' Crocus team women.

This is an excellent opportunity for passionate and dedicated midwives to join a dynamic, trail blazing team and help shape the future of home birth service in Croydon.
