Croydon are seeking nurses with Emergency Department experience.

Experienced nurses with no emergency department experience will be considered.

Main duties of the job

Main duties

The post holder will provide a high standard of nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of patient care. To work closely with the department / ward manager and multi-disciplinary team members in monitoring and maintaining policies, standards of nursing care, staff and service development within the department / ward environment.

  • Registered Adult Nurse
  • Post-registration experience
  • Acute nursing experience within last 12 months

Desirable

  • Module relevant to area of practice
  • BSc in Nursing or working towards
  • Mentorship module or equivalent

Skills and Abilities

Essential

  • Undertaking oral drug round
  • Use of equipment for blood pressure monitoring / oxygen saturation
  • IV therapy / Drug Administration
  • Venepuncture
  • Cannualtion
  • Use of Infusion Pumps
  • Practical recording of ECG
  • Knowledge of IT systems

Desirable

  • Clinical supervision/reflective practice
  • Teaching experience

Knowledge and understanding
