Job summary
The neonatal Unit is a Local Neonatal Unit providing care to babies greater than 27 weeks gestation. We have 26 cots in total, 4 designated as Intensive Care, 5 as High Dependency, and, 17 Special Care. The transitional care on the postnatal ward has an average of 6 babies a day. We have a strong belief in family-centred care and work closely with parents to enable them to have the confidence to care for their baby on discharge.Our neonatal service works closely with both maternity and paediatric colleagues and has established good working relationships with other neonatal units in South West London.

To work as part of a team of clerical officers within the Family Services Directorate providing 24/7 cover to ensure the efficient running of the Labour, Antenatal and Postnatal Wards, for the support of inpatient and outpatient services.
To ensure all Patient Administration System (PAS) procedures are followed and data entered accurately.
Main duties of the job
Neonatal and Transitional Care Data Analyst and Trainer (Band 5)
Data Accuracy - NNU data manager ensures that the data submitted to national bodies and platforms is accurate and high-quality. They are responsible for verifying and validating the data to minimize errors and inconsistencies.Compliance: A data manager ensures that the data submitted meets the specific requirements and guidelines for neonatal servicesAnalysis and Evaluation: A data manager is crucial in analyzing and evaluating the collected data. They can identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement to enhance neonatal and maternity care practices.Monitoring and Reporting: A data manager monitors the data submitted to bodies such as NNAP and generates regular reports. This helps track progress, identify concerns, and implement appropriate interventions.
