Job summary

The Director of Cancer Services / Hospital Director (Purley War Memorial Hospital - PWMH) leads the delivery of the national cancer standards Trust wide working across the organisation in conjunction with the Clinical Directorate leadership teams to support the delivery of our ambitions.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be key to the successful development and achievement of theNationalCancerStandards of accessandcare,improving the operational performance and therefore patient experience across cancer pathwaysprovided bythe Trust. The role is a key member of the senior leadership team of the Cancer Services and is part of the wider team of Directors within the organisation.

In addition, as a Director position, this role will service as the Hospital Director for the Purley War Memorial Hospital site (PWMH), being responsible for the day-to-day management and operational delivery of high quality, patient focused services provided from there. This part of the role will also require the post holder to lead, as appropriate, on corporate and Trust wide programmes of work e.g. Community Diagnostic Centres CDC), Estates redevelopment work, etc.
