Digital Training Manager Band 8a
The Digital Training Manager will be responsible for the development and delivery of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) and Clinical IT systems training. This post is key to the successful, safe and correct clinical and administrative adoption of the EPR and Clinical systems for Croydon Health Services Trust.They will be expected to have experience in Face to Face classroom training as well as developing and delivering e-learning. They will put in place a training strategy to achieve this including: analysis of core IT skills in the workforce to support the use of EPR and Clinical IT systems, full analysis of the current BAU training requirements across the EPR (currently Cerner Millennium and EMIS) and other clinical IT systems, with focus on the transition from traditional face-to-face training methodology to self-paced remote learning, including overseeing and participating in the development of training materials to support interactive e-learning. They will ensure that training materials support correct workflows to maintain a high standard of data quality.

- To prioritise and schedule the workload of IT Training and Assessment requirements within the Trust.
- To design and deliver training based on Trust's needs.
- To own the IT Training Strategy on behalf of the Trust
- To provide effective line management for the IT training staff
- Lead the operational day to day management of IT Training Team and identify improvements in terms of administrative process and practice working closely with the Head of Application Support.
- To provide Oversight and Accountability for formal and informal training of Cerner Millennium, EMIS Web and other business critical clinical systems
- To ensure that all IT Training material is kept up to date and available to staff on the Intranet.
- To be accountable for the recording of all IT training courses and attendances/DNAs on the Trust Online Learning Management system (OLM).
- To ensure that EPR and Clinical IT Systems training needs are identified and adequately documented for all Trust staff. To be responsible for developing training programmes that meet those needs and to develop an evaluation model for these programmes.
- To lead on training projects and ensure these are scoped, planned and delivered in a timely manner.
- To liaise with staff in the Workforce L&D and Digital Services to ensure that all necessary processes and procedures are put into place to ensure that courses are adequately promoted, advertised and that placement on programmes is organised effectively and efficiently.
