The Department of General Surgery at Croydon University Hospital is a strong department with an excellent track record for education and training. Croydon is one of only 2 Trusts in London hosting the Improving Surgical Training pilot.

This post supports the delivery of the London Emergency Standards and complements the separation of elective and emergency workloads. The General Surgery Department comprises of 15 Consultants and 10 registrars with a full SHO and foundation staff rota. The Urology department consists of 4 Consultants, 3 Associate specialists, 3 registrars and 2 SHOs and 2 FY1.

Croydon University Hospital NHS Trust provides a broad range of elective and emergency services to a population of 337,000, including General/Laparoscopic Surgery, Breast Surgery, Endocrine, Vascular, Paediatric, Colorectal, Urological, Orthopaedic, ENT, Dental Surgery and Gynaecology.
