Programme Management Office Manager Band 8a

The Programme Management Office Manager will ensure all projects within scope have robust scoping documents, business cases and other project documentation in place prior to transitioning to deliveryphase. The role will ensure all projects in the portfolio are developed within the control standards and expectations, as set out in the Programme Management Office handbook. The role will work closely withdelivery units across Croydon Place and use expert knowledge and professionalism to ensure consistent and robust programme management and assurance processes are in place.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide professional support and advice to stakeholders across Croydon Place and SWL ICs in their development of business cases and projects documentation to ensure successfulmonitoring, delivery, and robust assurance
  • Maintain a record of the portfolio of schemes, programmes, and projects to enable reporting assurance to groups and boards
  • Manage all aspects of the Programme Management Office processes, recording and documenting schemes, and develop assurance reports
  • Working with clinical directorate, finance, BI and Croydon place colleagues to assess feasibility and prioritising schemes in the pipeline
  • Working with programme managers, supporting transition of schemes through the approval process
  • Ensure conformance to the controls, processes, and governance arrangements
  • Provide a full handover to the delivery unit (and other colleagues where appropriate) including agreed and clearly documented details of expected outcomes, benefits, metrics, and financial impact Support development of a robust process to monitor and assure delivery of the Croydon Health and Care Plan and Croydon Health Clinical Strategy
  • Collate assurance information on the expected metrics, benefits and provide monthly reporting on all schemes managed by the delivery unit and other Place colleagues as appropriate presentprogress, findings and impact of projects in a clear, concise and engaging manner
