An opportunity has arisen for a senior experienced podiatrist with proven leadership skills, to join our team at Lewisham and Greenwich Trust. We are looking to recruit a Deputy Head of Podiatry and Orthotics to provide professional leadership, accountability and assist in provision of day-to-day operational and managerial support to the Podiatry & Orthotics Services at LGT.
Operationally the services are delivered for Podiatry to Lewisham Community and University Hospital Lewisham; Orthotics services are delivered at Queen Elizabeth and University Hospital Lewisham.
Team are based on multiple community sites, UHL and QEH, would need to be able to be based at any of these, UHL and Lewisham community main sites of work

Main duties of the job
The focus of the role is todeputise for the Head of Podiatry at Divisional and Trust meetings and those relevant to Podiatry outside the Trust.
This role will include line management of designated band 7 Podiatrists and surgical appliances officers, prioritisation and scheduling of staffing based on service demands and risk, complaint and incident investigation, as well as taking overall responsibility for the operational management of the orthotics services at QEH and UHL.
