In this specialist Band 6 role, you'll work with children and young people aged 5-19 who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET), or at risk of becoming NEET. You will lead targeted, trauma-informed public health interventions, provide early help and safeguarding support, and collaborate closely with families, schools, and multi-agency partners to promote re-engagement, wellbeing, and positive future pathways.

Main duties of the job
We're seeking a proactive SCPHN School Nurse to lead targeted support for vulnerable children and young people who are NEET or at risk of disengagement. You'll be working in collaboration with the Band 7 Vulnerable NEET CYP Lead to manage a focused caseload, working both independently and within a multi-agency network to deliver high-quality, child-centred care across Lewisham's diverse communities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading specialist Health Needs Assessments and tailored interventions alongside the Band 7 Vulnerable CYP Lead
- Managing a safeguarding-related caseload for vulnerable CYP
- Building strong partnerships across agencies to support positive outcomes
- Communicating effectively with children, families, and professionals
- Contributing to service development to reduce health inequalities
