The post is a fixed term for 4 months based at the Queen Elizabeth site, with the opportunity to extend by mutual agreement. This an exciting opportunity for an experienced, dynamic and well-motivated doctor to join our busy unit.
There is the opportunity to support the candidate gain experience in the Royal College of O&G core curriculum. Educational and Clinical supervision will be provided, and the candidate will be encouraged to engage with the eportfolio to document training competencies. In addition to clinical experience, there is the opportunity to develop teaching skills due to the close links to King's College London School of Medicine. Further opportunities will include participation in clinical governance processes and presentation of audit projects.
The successful candidate will participate in the 1:13 full shift rota providing cover for both Obstetrics and Gynaecology in a three-tier system. The on-call team comprises an SHO (two SHOs 0800-1700), two registrars and a Consultant. The consultant is resident from 0800 - 2000 to support high-quality care and outstanding training opportunities.
