Are you ready to lead one of the most significant estates transitions in the NHS? Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust is looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking individual to guide us through the final stages of a major hospital contract.
As our Estates Programme Manager PFI, you'll play a central role in shaping the future of Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich. You'll work closely with senior leaders, external partners, and specialist teams to ensure a smooth and successful exit from a long-standing Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contract.

Reporting to the Head of Contracts & Performance, the post holder will provide regular updates to the PFI Expiry Project Team, while also liaising with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and responsible for providing monthly formal reports to the Programme Board.
The post holder will also hold a PFI leadership and oversight role as an estates specialist who advises the Trust on PFI expiry contract delivery and compliance at QEH and at the Riverside PFI project at Lewisham University Hospital.
The postholder will significantly contribute to the options appraisal concerning future investment and estates service delivery models for QEH post PFI expiry.
The postholder will provide comprehensive support to the Head of Contracts & Performance PFI and will have responsibility for the delivery of contract monitoring in relation to the PFI Expiry programme.

Qualifications and Training
Essential
- Educated to Masters level or experience gained through experience and training.
- A degree in a relevant discipline e.g. engineering or building services.
- Post holder shall have relevant management qualifications.
- Post holder must hold a current full driving licence.
- Demonstrates continuing professional development in relevant field.
Desirable
- Certificate or Diploma in Management or relevant equivalent experience as above.
Experience
Essential
- Extensive experience of managing/supervising staff including objective setting and appraisals.
- Significant experience of managing commercial contracts for the NHS.
- Developed financial and budgetary experience.
- A strong background of mechanical and electrical building services.
- Demonstrates experience of development and implementation of governance and assurance policies and procedures for all aspects of the Estates & Facilities services, including 3rd party contractors.
- Post holder to demonstrate experience in undertaking audits.
