Job summary
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an Admiral Nurse to join our team at Lewisham & Greenwich Community Services. Admiral Nurses are specialist dementia nurses who work in the community to support patients and family/carers living with dementia. The successful candidate will be installing a brand new service bringing support and expertise to our patients and their carers in Lewisham Community.
The post holder will work collaboratively within our community team and the wider MDT and be supported by our experienced frailty team as well as being part of a national network of admiral nurses.

Main duties of the job
In line with the Admiral Nurse Competency framework at an enhanced specialist level, the post holder will provide:
- Specialist bio-psychosocial assessment and support for people with dementia and families with complex needs
- Facilitation of education and training for staff in the delivery of evidence-based dementia care
- Clinical leadership with policy development and quality improvements in relation to dementia care
- Consultancy to other health and social care professionals regarding dementia
