Job summary

A number of opportunities have arisen at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Woolwich for Doctors who have completed at least Foundation Year 2 training to undertake a rotational programme with opportunity for flexible start date.

The rotation can be adjusted according to preference, with either a fixed term contract of up to a year or a permanent post, the appointed doctors will have the opportunity to complete 6 month placements in General Medicine and Emergency Medicine.

Rotations can be designed around an individual's wishes and there is also the potential to work some of these posts as 80% clinical, with 20% of time dedicated to either education or management/service development.

These posts offer an excellent opportunity for doctors wishing to enhance their CVs and gain experience in relevant fields before commencing specialty training.

These posts arenotaccredited training posts, but the content and supervision will be similar to a training post.

All applicants must have full GMC registration and hold a Licence to Practise.

Main duties of the job

The posts are full-time, based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich site (QEH). Successful applicants can choose to work either as fixed term (4-12 months) or substantively. Candidates will work in 4 month blocks and can express a preference as to which departments they work for within the division (ie ED or Medicine, we will endeavour to accommodate specialty requests as much as possible but cannot guarantee this.

The successful applicant will be given a dedicated Consultant Clinical Supervisor to oversee their time at LGT.
