Job summary
The ANP role is that of an independent practitioner, the ANP will manage patients independently with access to senior medical support.
The ANP role is to support the successful implementation of the integrated sexual health tariff providing clinical leadership and support within the nursing team, working to improve patient care and experience.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for the day to day clinical leadership supervision and support of a group of nurses including, training and development
Plan, evaluate and implement clinical care, negotiate a plan of care acceptable to the patient, optimising patient outcomes using advanced clinical assessment skills to assess patients including history taking, examination, ordering and interpretation of diagnostic tests

- LoC in IUT and SDI
- MSc Advanced Practice or equivalent portfolio of evidence demonstrating achievement of competencies for advanced practitioner practice
- Non-medical prescribing qualification
- FSRH registered trainer, so able to train doctors and nurses in LoC IUT and implants and sign off nurses and clinicians undertaking DFSRH or willing to commence training on appointment
- GUM training
