Job summary
The LGT Theatre Productivity Programme has 3 key workstreams: 1) pre-operative assessment, 2) in-session productivity, 3) scheduling improvement. The target KPI for the programme is to achieve 85% Theatre Utilisation and an average ACPL 2.4. In order to achieve this, the Surgery Division would like to recruit a dedicated 8B Improvement Programme Manager, with a proven track record of leading such programmes and with a Registered Clinical Practitioner background (Registered Nurse, Operating Department Practitioner), to ensure we are set up for success and able to hit our 23/24 operational plan.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for the effective delivery of transformation changes identified for theatres, using subject matter expertise from previous clinical background in theatres to champion and lead change initiatives
Development, design and scoping of the programme- set up programme, workstream plans, workshops with deliverables
Deliver the programme to agreed objectives and to timescale
Produce Programme Board reports and progress on key priorities
Streamline identified systems and processes to support changes
Develop policies to help improve productivity in theatres
Support agreed workforce model and delivery on recruitment, training plan and implementation to timescale, particularly for the new HVLC hub at UHL
Build key relationships with stakeholders and ensure culture of efficiency and ambition
