We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and hardworking Band 7Sister/Charge Nurse to lead the team on Aston Key Ward, a high-functioning ward with Gold Accreditation.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and supporting staff development. You will provide strong clinical and managerial leadership, ensuring the ward runs safely, efficiently, and in line with Trust values.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and motivating a multidisciplinary team

  • Maintaining high standards of clinical care and patient experience

  • Managing staffing, resources, and quality improvement initiatives

  • Supporting staff development, supervision, and appraisal

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity for a Urology Ward Sister/Charge Nurse - Aston Key Ward!

We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident and motivated nurse with excellent communication skills and experience of working with urology surgical patients. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their skills.

The urology department at Guy's Hospital is a unit providing the best specialist treatment to urology patients in the country at every stage of their journey. The nursing team provides an essential support to the patient experience and to the clinicians involved.

The successful applicant will be expected to work in partnership within the Transplantation, Renal and Urology team. This will provide the opportunity to develop leadership skills, experience working with clinicians and supporting Urology patients. As a Sister/Charge Nurse you will be expected to promote and demonstrate the Trust values and behaviours within your role.
