Clinical Nurse Lead - Neighbourhood Nursing - secondment

Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and clinically experienced senior nurse who can demonstrate sound clinical skills and leadership acumen to effectively manage and lead our diverse group of staff group. The post holder will be required to be flexible and work across the Boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark as needed.

You must have experience in community nursing and in staff management.

This role combines clinical care with leadership and management and is ideal for anyone wanting to climb the professional ladder without losing clinical skills. The role is key to providing assurance of safe standards of practice within our service.

This is an exciting time to join our teams as we work within the Neighbourhood Nursing model. You will be working within an experienced and dynamic team and will be well supported in your role and professional growth.

The successful applicant will be able to take a management coaching approach to support the teams. You will be required to demonstrate clinical expertise, including complex patient management. You will be trained, supported and given opportunities to develop in your career.

*This is secondment opportunity to cover staff going on secondment for 9 months. Candidates must obtain approval from their current line manager before applying for the role.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for the day to day operational management and clinical leadership of their area of responsibility.

You will also be responsible for the assessment, delivery and evaluation of care provided to patients, ensuring all referrals are assessed by a senior nurse and that care is planned and delivered holistically.

You will undertake advanced nursing assessment and interventions, prescribing, care and treatment including anticipatory care, complex case management and promoting health and self-management for patients.

Through strong clinical leadership, you will supervise and support the Neighbourhood Nursing team to promote excellence in clinical care, ensuring all patients are treated with compassion, dignity and respect.

You will promote best practices in the safe delivery of clinical care in patients' homes and the highest standards in the prevention and control of infection.

You will inspire patient and public confidence by ensuring that the patient experience is of highest quality.

You will also establish effective relationships with local GP's and other key stakeholders.
