Senior Programme Manager, Population Health - King's Health Partners

One year fixed term contract (secondment cover)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Programme Manager to join our King's Health Partners team hosted by Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a partnership team focused on accelerating the translation of research into patient care and improving population health, including reducing the burden of health inequalities experienced by those living in south London and beyond.

King's Health Partners:

King's Health Partners (KHP) is currently in the process of developing its 2030 Strategy, which will seek to accelerate progress in three areas:

  • Personalised Health - accelerating the transformation of cutting-edge discoveries into tailored healthcare for individuals
  • Digital Health and Data Sciences - pioneer and advance digital health technologies to improve current and future health
  • Population Health - improve health and wellbeing by deepening our understanding of mental and physical health needs, and providing evidence for accessible, equitable care

Interwoven are guiding principles of equality, diversity and inclusion; patient participation and involvement; and an integrated mind and body approach - which seeks to improve the mental and physical health of our community by addressing the interaction and interplay of physical and mental illness.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will play a key role in setting foundations for successful delivery of KHP's strategic objective for population health:

  • Working with KHP senior leadership team and partners to deliver KHPs strategic priority for population health; including supporting benefits and impact realisation, governance and programme management infrastructure aligned to wider KHP strategy arrangements.
  • Connecting and amplifying work on population health across the partnership to advance strategic cohesion and impact.

The post-holder will also have day-to-day operational responsibility for the KHP diabetes, endocrinology and obesity (KHP DEO) clinical academic partnership:

  • Working with clinical, academic and programme directors to drive operational delivery of the KHP DEO research priorities and clinical and workforce transformation frameworks and leverage benefits of clinical academic integration to improve health and wellbeing and health equity for people living with diabetes, obesity and endocrine disorders.
  • Working closely with the responsible clinical lead and programme team to building a viable business case for a KHP DEO Education and Training Academy supporting healthcare professionals and patients in specialist settings.

The postholder will have line management responsibility and work collaboratively with teams from across KHP to forward our shared KHP Strategy ambitions and opportunities for cross-team working.
