Job summary

The IT Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple complex IT projects that impact across the organisation, ensuring all projects in area of responsibility are managed, supported and monitored to Trust and PRINCE2 standards.

The post holder is responsible for planning, monitoring and the successful delivery of the project(s) on time and to the specified cost, quality standards and deadlines. The IT Project Manager will proactively support the achievement of Trust business objectives through the Trust strategy.

The post holder will work closely with and liaise with the ITCS Technology Programme Manager, ITCS Technology Teams, other project managers in the wider IT department, Technical Architects,Application Managers and Analysts and business users.

Main duties of the job

Management of multiple technology projects in accordance with the Trust's Project Management Process, Policies and other associated documentation

Responsible for the development and maintenance of a detailed project plan for each project to ensure successful completion of each stage of the project

Responsible for ensuring all projects are managed, supported and delivered within the PRINCE2 framework, standards and principles ensuring qualitative delivery to time, within local budgets and other tolerances

Management of project deliverables dependencies

Work with senior management stakeholders to specify the projects costs, products and quality standards and identify the constraints of time and cost within which the project must work; ensure delivery to the business on time and to quality expectations

Ensure all support for the Trust, whether in-house or by Third Parties, adheres to the established standards and meets the documented user requirements specifications

Maintain understanding, knowledge and awareness of technology developments and best practice in a variety of settings.
