Job summary

Applicants are invited to join a rapidly growing paediatric service in Rheumatology and Chronic pain as consultant paediatrician to support the development of an enhanced model of care across a region of 8 million population.

You must be fully registered with the GMC and hold License to Practice and be on the Specialist Register, or within six months of attaining your CCT or equivalent at interview stage.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will gain experience in an exciting forward thinking Paediatric Rheumatology service and across the wider network.

We are looking to recruit a dynamic driven candidate to join our service supported by a full MDT, including psychology, and with close working relationships across all paediatric specialties especially ophthalmology, infectious disease, nephrology, dermatology and adult lupus. The post holder will participate in a full range of activities including outpatient clinics, joint injection lists, liaison with services across the network, work up of acutely unwell patients and support of inpatients. Routine and complex multidisciplinary clinics are held at Evelina London and a number of outreach clinics at various locations throughout South East England. There will be opportunities to develop specialist expertise complimentary to the department's interests and to be involved in development of new models of care, education, research, quality improvement and in paediatric mental health.
