Job summary
The cardiology service is looking for a Consultant with a specialisation in Interventional Cardiology. The post holder will be expected to provide specialist cardiology services on the Guy's and St Thomas' sites (the job will be primarily based at St Thomas' Hospital but candidates might be expected to work across all the sites included the Royal Brompton and Harefield sites).
This is an excellent opportunity to join a first class team in an active and progressive central London teaching hospital environment.

Main duties of the job
Your job plan is anticipated to contain 10 Programmed Activities per week on average to be carried out on Guy's & St Thomas' sites. The job plan will be negotiated between the consultant and his/her clinical director at least annually and may well alter to accommodate evolving clinical service requirements. An indicative proposed timetable is included below; the workload will be a mix of ward round, cardiac catheterisation lab lists and OP clinics which will comprise of a mix of new and follow-up patients.
Final confirmation of the proposed initial timetable will be completed prior to taking up the post with the successful candidate. Flexibility will remain within the job plan to allow effective coverage of procedural and clinic commitments and the timetable will be variable week on week.
