Job summary

We are seeking a creative and an innovative Health Visiting Team Leader with evidence based, substantive clinical and leadership experience and skills as well as highly developed communication skills to lead one of the health visiting locality based in Bermondsey health centre. Together, you will be providing leadership support to staff and care to local families.

Main duties of the job

Applicants should be responsive to the current models of delivering the Healthy Child Programme, be able to work in any of our existing teams/localities, demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and be able to assess and identify children and families with safeguarding concerns and have an in-depth understanding of children & young people's health issues both locally and nationally. You must be the able to work on your own initiative as well as lead the team, be flexible in delivering care, and well organised.

Although you will be working within a primary Health Visiting locality, this role requires you to be able to work in other sites within and across the two Boroughs in the Trust. You will need to be able to travel within, and able to arrive for the start of the working day within these sites. This requirement will be driven by the needs of the service.
