Job summary

An exciting project funded from NHS England to improve the services provided to children and their families affected by Cystinosis has provided Evelina London an opportunity for an experienced paediatric nurse to join our Paediatric Renal Team at Evelina London Children's Hospital.

The role works closely with the wider paediatric renal services including caring for children with chronic renal failure and children having renal replacement therapy.

Main duties of the job

The Paediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist will be a highly experienced, knowledgeable and educated member of the team who is able to work autonomously, making high level decisions to meet the health needs of the children under our service. Advanced level practice encompasses aspects of education, research and management but is firmly grounded in direct care provision and clinical work with children and families. We are looking for a highly motivated children's nurse with renal/cystinosis experience, however, relevant clinical experience or management of long term conditions will be considered.

The post is currently part time, 18.75 hours per week funded for 2 years

  • BSC/1st degree (health related) or equivalent qualification/training and experiencePaediatric Registration
  • Mentorship or evidence of clinical supervision

  • To have or working towards a masters degree
