This is a clinical community role to ensure women living in the London Borough of Lambeth receive support and information to allow them to choose their method of feeding their babies and to successfully feed their babies in their chosen method.
To facilitate a specialised infant feeding service for women who are experiencing difficulties or challenges establishing breastfeeding.
To facilitate face to face, one to one consultations, groups and telephone support in the community hubs and children centres.
To work with the acute and community breast feeding coordinators to implement strategy to maintain UNICEF BFI status and reaccreditation including support with BFI mother and staff audits.
Team player with excellent interpersonal skills, good management and organisational skills.

Main duties of the job
Work in accordance with the NMC's rules and code of conduct for midwives.
Maintain and develop professional knowledge and competence in accordance within the NMC recommendations.
Act as a role model for midwifery practice to all staff within the directorate.
