Locum Consultant in Adult Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia and Adult Cardiac Critical Care

The Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals Clinical Group, part of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a Locum Consultant in Adult Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia and Adult Cardiac Critical Care.

This is a post based at The Royal Brompton Hospital. The Anaesthetic clinical role will provide anaesthetic support to adult patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery, interventional cardiology, radiology and interventional bronchoscopy procedures. There may be a requirement for preassessment clinic-based sessions.

The Critical Care role is to provide care for patients from all the hospital's clinical specialities across the three units at the Royal Brompton Hospital.

The post holder will provide clinical services in Anaesthesia and Critical Care in accordance with clinical and legal requirements and in keeping with the international role of the Trust.

Applicants are required to be fully registered Medical Practitioners and must be on the GMC's Specialist Register in Anaesthesia/Critical Care or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide clinical services in Anaesthesia and Critical Care in accordance with clinical and legal requirements and in keeping with the international role of the Trust.

The post holder will also be expected to contribute to the adult anaesthesia and critical care on call rotas, after appropriate orientation and dependent upon previous experience.
