The Adult Critical Care department is looking for an experienced operational manager with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care. The role is cross site between the two hospitals.
Main duties of the job
The service manager will manage the day to day running of the service and lead on delivery against all key performance areas including finance, access targets and productivity, as well as improvement projects and service developments.
There are sizeable projects currently ongoing and the post holder will be expected to take an active role in driving forward on these and other projects for timely delivery including the upgrade of our estate at Guy's Critical Care Unit to make the service more resilient, contribute to the stabilisation of Epic across the service and play a part in the strategic planning of the Health informatics team.

Critical care is a fast paced service responsible for delivering intensive care, high dependency care, outreach and ECMO retrieval service and post critical care recovery pathway; some of which are specially commissioned services receiving patient referrals from across London, the South East and even further afield. The successful candidate will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure that we deliver a high quality and timely service to our patients and build strong working relationships with the immediate team and external colleagues working within the network while taking responsibility for the administrative function of the team.
