Job summary
The Directorate of Women's Services is seeking a part-time (9.25 PA) Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join a dynamic, enthusiastic, innovative and forward-thinking team of consultants. The Directorate forms part of Evelina Women and Children's Services Clinical Group.
The Clinical Director is Dr Eugene Oteng-Ntim.
The Obstetric Service is a tertiary service, incorporating an excellent Obstetric medicine service, and is led by Dr Sonji Clarke. The Maternity unit serves the local population of Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham (which is diverse with high levels of deprivation) and also serves as tertiary referral centre for certain conditions from the UK and overseas.
The Gynaecology Service is led by Mr. Azar Khunda. The Gynaecology service sees patients in the acute setting via the Early Pregnancy and Acute Gynaecology service at St Thomas', as well as outpatient services in McNair at Guy's Hospital. The service serves both local populations, and also from further afield for certain specialist conditions and pathways.

To develop and maintain the competencies required to carry out the duties required of the post.
To ensure prompt attendance at agreed direct clinical care Programmed Activities.
To ensure patients are involved in decisions about their care and to respond to their views.
To develop and deliver quality improvement within the Directorate
Where possible to collaborate with academic and clinical colleagues to enhance the Trusts translational research portfolio, at all times meeting the full requirements of Research Governance.
To provide high quality teaching to medical undergraduates and members of other health care professions as required by the Clinical Director.
To act as educational supervisor and appraiser as delegated by the Clinical Director to ensure external accreditation of training post.
To support multi-disciplinary teaching and training
