Main duties of the job
The Orthopaedic Surgery Department at Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust offers subspecialist interests across Orthopaedics including Upper Limb, Hip Primary/Revision Arthroplasty, Young Adult Hip, Knee Primary/Revision Arthroplasty, Soft Tissue Knee, Hand & Wrist, Foot & Ankle and a Spinal Service. The Department seeks to appoint 1 x trust doctor to join a team of 29 consultants, 12 SpRs, 10 Senior Fellows and another 11 SHOs.
This post will allow the candidates to get a breadth of knowledge and experience across all Orthopaedic Specialties. The successful candidates will also be expected to participate in the orthopaedic on-call rota with an active role as part of the trauma team. The post is suitable for those seeking further surgical experience in preparation for surgical training and those looking to broaden their trauma experience. You will be expected to take an active part in weekly departmental teaching and participate in research projects.
