Job summary
To participate with the Nursery Nurses in the day to day operation and organisation of the nursery within agreed policies and procedures and to promote good parent/staff relationships within the group.
To work as part of a team, providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment within the Day Nursery for a group of children aged between 3 months and 5 years.
To assist in the delivery in the standard of care and education which meets legislative requirements and allows children to develop to their full potential
Main duties of the job
? Maintain and develop effective communication with colleagues, children, Parents/Carers, the Day Nursery Managers and other individuals to ensure professional standards are maintained.
? To ensure best practice by discussing and reporting matters of potential concern within the Day Nursery to the Day Nursery Manager on duty.
? To attend and participate in all Day Nursery meetings as requested.
? To demonstrate a flexible approach and adaptability and be willing to work in any area of the Day Nursery as requested to ensure that the service needs are met.
? To attend and participate in regular supervision meetings with a Day Nursery Manager and contribute to performance appraisals.
? To support students with guidance from the Deputy Day Nursery Manager.
