Locum Consultant in Nephrology

Fixed Term- 6 months
Applications are invited for a Locum Consultant Nephrologist, who will help us to meet and surpass the challenges of our expanding clinical, academic and training portfolio. The appointees will join the existing team of 13 Transplant Surgeons and 19 Nephrologists (13 WTE).
Main duties of the job
You will deliver excellent care in all aspects of nephrology, dialysis (including satellite dialysis) and transplantation, as well as manage ward referrals and complex inpatients.
The Department of Nephrology and Transplantation is one of the largest in the UK, providing high quality regional and supra-regional kidney care. We provide a full range of kidney treatment services, perform over 250 transplants a year, have the largest living kidney donor programme in the UK and are a supra-regional centre for pancreas transplantation. We offer a full range of dialysis therapies both at home and through a network of satellite units. We are nationally recognised for our quality of care, innovation in clinical practice and service delivery, and for our close functional integration with the programmes at Kings' College London and our Comprehensive Biomedical Research Centre.

You must be fully registered with the GMC/GDC and hold Licence to Practice and be on the Specialist Register, or within six months of attaining your CCT or equivalent at interview stage.
The postholder will have regular contact with vulnerable adults and/or children (0-18 years) and therefore this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
