Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic skilled clinician and leader to join our forward-thinking Cancer Physiotherapy service at Guy's Cancer Centre. You will work within jointly-run physiotherapy and occupational therapy clinics, as well as uni-professional-run clinics, conducting advanced assessments and delivering interventions to facilitate patients' cancer rehabilitation post-cancer diagnosis.
The post holder will also work closely with specialist physiotherapists working in cancer care and will develop close links with other allied health professionals (AHP); physicians; surgeons and nursing leads within the Cancer and Surgery Directorate.
You will have the opportunity to further develop your clinical and leadership skills, supported by a Consultant Physiotherapist, Clinical Specialist Physiotherapists, Deputy and Clinical Lead Rehabilitation Physiotherapist, and as a wider member of the B7 cancer rehabilitation team.

Main duties of the job
The post holders will clinically lead in delivering high-quality cancer rehabilitation, exercise prescription, educational, and symptom care programs related to side effects of treatment (such as breathlessness, fatigue, bone health, deconditioning, neuropathy, pain, etc.) for oncology and haematology conditions across the Dietz cancer rehabilitation continuum.
Asa Band 7 service lead, you will be committed to training, supervising, and supporting the career development of your junior colleagues and students, as well as managing the team. You will demonstrate drive and enthusiasm to lead and contribute to service improvement initiatives through project work, involving both patients and staff.
