Applications are invited for the role of a Senior Clinical Fellow in General Paediatrics. The post will commence in the Sep 2024 for six months initially with option to extend to one year. The post is based at the Evelina London Children's Hospital at Guys & St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will gain Complex General Paediatric experience which includes exposure to sub-specialities such as Gastroenterology, Respiratory, Haematology, Endocrine and High Dependency Care. On-call duties are shared at middle grade level within general paediatrics and include cover of high dependency care, paediatric sub-speciality patients and paediatric surgical patients. This post is not recognised for training by the RCPCH but the training opportunities available are similar to those for ST6-8. The post is advertised as full-time but we welcome part-time applicants. There are many opportunities to be involved quality improvement and education work and the post-holder will be fully supported by an educational supervisor.

  • Candidates who have completed all parts of the MRCPCH will be advantaged in the selection process, but full MRCPCH is not essential.

  • At least 3 years of experience at ST1-3-level in paediatric, including 6 months neonatology
