Job summary
The Research and Development department within Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust are recruiting for an R&D Data Assistant to support our non-commercial performance team.

Main duties of the job
You will be an experienced administrator with excellent communication and analytical skills who has an eye for detail, who is willing to learn new skills and enjoys liaising with colleagues and staff at all levels. You will be highly organised and have a methodical approach to your work.
We are looking for a well motivated individual, who after training, has the ability to work without direct supervision and to use their own initiative to support the researchers and colleagues in R&D.
About us
This is an in office-based role. The requirement is to work on the 16th floor at Guy's Hospital (London Bridge site), but some working from home may be considered once the post-holder is fully trained.

The post-holder will provide high quality data management support and will be responsible for using and maintaining the EDGE database. The maintenance of the quality and content of the data will be a key function of this post which will be achieved by regular reporting and error checking.
The post holder will be required to accurately enter large amounts of data and to ensure that the data is stored in accordance with the Data Protection Act and relevant guidelines. The post holder will be required to maintain databases that allow queries, reports and data retrieval to be performed in an efficient manner. The post holder will act as the lead support contact for the R&D team for the EDGE database; creating and maintaining user accounts, and providing help and support to database users.
The post holder may be required to provide other administrative support to the team as required.
