Are you an experienced Software Asset Manager? We are seeking a Software Asset Management expert who has lead Software Asset Management and is ready for the opportunity to create a new vision for Software Asset Management, working within the ITIL Framework, across a complex technology estate.
The Data, Technology and Information directorate is going through a significant period of change as we move forward with a number of strategic technology programmes including cloud first implementation, modernised network capabilities and stabilisation of infrastructure and operating systems. These programmes all support the Trust's digital ambitions, which is underpinned by the significant investment in a new Electronic Health Record (EHR), which will catalyse a programme of work across the Trust to transform the way technology and data is used across our services.
This is an office-based role in Central London.
Main duties of the job
Managing IT software assets on the Guy's and St Thomas' estate, creation of policy, process, and strategy for the management of software assets, auditing and lifecycle management of software assets, being the SME on software licencing and working with the Commercial team on new contracts, renewals, and termination of software use. The role provides audit and assurance to ensure that we are compliant with our licencing contracts, manages the software lifecycle for current products from provision to decommission, creates policy, process and strategy to ensure that software is being used in a cost effective manner, and is a key part of software auditing and annual true up activities for our major contracts.
You will need to have experience of leading organisations through annual auditing and true up exercises with products such as the Microsoft agreements (the ESA Agreements, SKE Agreements, MCA Agreements, and Microsoft Unified Support, in addition to experience of understanding the MOU banding and privileges) and Oracle licencing amongst others.In addition you will also need to be able to advise and guide internal IT and Clinical staff towards the correct model of purchasing licences.
The ability to liaise directly with our software providers and vendors is essential. Experience of using tools such as Snow, Atamis and ServiceNow would be advantageous
