PAEDIATRIC INFECTIOUS DISEASES CLINICAL FELLOW (ST4+)

The Evelina London Children's Hospital is seeking a full-time Senior Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Infectious Diseases and Immunology. These posts will join a team of seven consultant PIID specialists (four whole-time equivalent), a Clinical Research Fellow, and three Clinical Nurse Specialists, in providing a seamless and highly responsive PIID service supporting a wide-range of specialist children's services based at the Evelina London Children's Hospital and the wider region.
Main duties of the job
We serve an extremely diverse local population with amongst the highest incidences of HIV infection and malaria in the UK. This post supports inpatient and outpatient infectious diseases and immunology services, and will include exposure to a broad range of inpatient consults, paediatric OPAT (outpatient parenteral antibiotic therapy), HIV, TB, congenital infection, inflammation, primary & secondary immunodeficiency, infection control and antibiotic stewardship.
The post-holder will be expected to work as part of the PIID team, maintaining the Evelina at the forefront of clinical and academic excellence, and to participate in the education program of the department.

Previous middle-grade experience is essential; previous research experience is not essential but desirable. Good Clinical Practice training is essential for this post. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Criminal Records Bureau to check for any previous criminal convictions.
