Job summary
We are looking for an exceptional Managing Director to lead the vision for the Essentia Group.
The Managing Director will be expected to effectively manage diverse stakeholder interests and demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional non-clinical services across south east London. They will also be able to make effective and efficient use of sustainable resources to support the Essentia vision, whilst championing a safe working environment. The Managing Director will also oversee the further capital investment in the community healthcare estate portfolio, with the challenge to enable better integrated care. They will also provide direction on a partnership with Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust to transform specialist cardiovascular care. A chartered engineer or evidence of equivalent technical experience is highly desired.

Main duties of the job
The post holder is accountable and reports to the Deputy CEO/Chief Operating Officer and shares the responsibility for delivering the strategic goals and objectives for all Capital, Estates and Facilities matters ensuring these are in line with clinical needs of the Trust and ensuring the continual improvement of patient care, quality outcomes and safety.
The post holder has overall responsibility for ensuring that the environment is safe for patients, visitors and staff. The post holder must have highly specialised knowledge of a full range of procedures and practice relating to the provision of this managed service and will provide strategic and expert advice to the Trust on all Estates and Facilities issues.
The post holder is responsible for one of the largest Estates and Facilities functions across the NHS and as such will be required to capture and promote sharing of best practice on a regional and national basis as and operationally at site level.
