Job summary
We are delighted to offer the position of Principal Pharmacy Technician for surgery and gastrointestinal medicine and surgery.The successful candidate will lead our team of technicians, adapting and enhancing technician roles to reflect the changing needs of the patients and the clinical pharmacy service, as well as managing the day to day workload at ward level within the surgical pharmacy service.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will join the senior surgical pharmacy team and contribute to strategies to develop and enhance service provision. You will be responsible for providing and ensuring a safe, efficient and accurate ward-based pharmacy service is delivered through leveraging your contacts with pharmacy, nursing and medical staff. You will be required to support the inpatient pharmacy service as an ACPT weekly on a rostered basis, which will require a systematic and flexible approach to working.

- Train the Trainers/NVQ Pharmacy Services Level 3 - Optional unit: 12 of equivalent
- Relevant management underpinning knowledge
