Job summary

The Apollo programme needs you! We are looking for people with knowledge of Guy's and St Thomas'/Royal Brompton & Harefield and Kings College Hospital (admin & clerical, nurse or other health professionals) and/or previous EHR deployment experience to join us in our last few Lead Analyst positions within the Apollo Programme.

IT technical knowledge is not required and all training and development will be provided.

To support you in this role you will be fully trained by our system provider, Epic, on the building blocks of the system that we will deliver. In undertaking this training you will become part of an elite group of Epic trained staff who operate across a wide range of countries and healthcare systems.

We are seeking those who have astrong aptitude for digital systems(Note: No technical or programming experience is required) and arenatural born problem solvers. Equally as important to these skills will be your understanding of workflow and processes required in an acute NHS Trust and/or community settings. You must be able to juggle multiple, sometimes conflicting deadlines and maintain strong working relationships across the wider end user community as well as others within the programme team.

Your contract could be with either partner; Guy's and St Thomas' or King's College NHS , offices are based at Waterloo.

Main duties of the job

Each team will be led by a Configuration and Application Workstream Manager(s) who will be subject matter experts in particular module. You will also work with colleagues in clinical and operational teams, the Data and Analytics Workstream and our Epic Principal Trainers.

You will be invited to take an aptitude test prior to interview. You should not worry about this test - the aim of the test is to ensure we recruit candidates who have the skills in order to succeed in the Epic accreditation following their training.

About us

The Apollo Programme consists of a large number of Lead Analysts assigned into modules. As a Lead Analyst you will configure and deploy assigned modules of the Epic platform, aligning these with new workflows and patient pathways.

As a senior member of the Programme Deployment Team the post holder is responsible for delivering a share of the configuration build as part of the Trusts extensive clinical transformation programme enabled by a comprehensive integrated EHR, namely, Epic. The post holder will be responsible for:

  • Member of the multi-disciplinary configuration team, ensuring a consistent approach to the configuration and integration between the Epic modules and across the wider programme team;
  • Managing, co-ordinating and leading the configuration and deployment requirements and ensure build is on time
  • Be a key member of a designated Configuration and Application team ensuring design integrity
  • Analyse and suggest ways to improve current workflows and working practices;
  • Work with the appropriate stakeholders to analyse, negotiate and facilitate agreement for change to high-impact or critical workflows and current working practices, whilst managing expectations and resolving conflicts when necessary;
  • Match agreed workflows with those already built into the suppliers EHR system and configure the suppliers EHR system using configuration tools to tailor the system;
  • Assist with preparation for the testing of the system to ensure it is safe, usable, secure and robust;
  • Work with the Deployment Lead to support complex Epic software demonstrations and present information on the teams progress to the EHR Programme Board, adapted in a way in which makes it easy for the audience to understand;
  • Assist with preparation for the testing and testing of the system to ensure it is safe, usable, secure and robust;

Essential

  • Degree level qualification or above
  • Significant experience in use of Healthcare systems
  • Evidence of further clinical training in a specific clinical field
  • Evidence of clinical/operational or configuration expertise used in an Enterprise solution

Desirable

  • Experience in one of the Epic modules

  • Proven experience in a clinical environment delivering clinical care
